Training Philosophy
At Cooper Canines, the primary goal is to help you build mutual respect and clear communication with your dog without resorting to raised voices, intimidation, or painful corrections. Real, lasting behavior change happens when a dog actively wants to cooperate with you.
Training protocols are completely customized to fit your lifestyle, using flexible treat-based and non-treat positive reinforcement techniques. Whether you are establishing basic manners, addressing leash pulling, or building reliable focus, training is kept positive, clear, and effective.
Trainer's Commitment
Dedicated to teaching you how to communicate with your dog. My goal isn't to turn you into a boss, but to give you the tools to help your dog actually want to listen to you so they can become a confident, trusted, and joyful part of your family. I continue working on your training plans even outside of your sessions because I want to see you succeed.
As part of an ongoing commitment to strengthening the bond between owners and their dogs, I will be publishing free educational resources and behavioral guides in the foreseeable future at coopercanines.com/guides.
Meet Your Trainer
Hello! My name is Dan, and I am the owner and trainer behind Cooper Canines LLC. Growing up surrounded by dogs of all breeds and temperaments gave me an early appreciation for canine behavior and communication. That lifelong passion led me to pursue structured education in modern canine behavior, studying dog body language through comprehensive coursework, professional literature, and hands-on shadowing alongside experienced professional dog trainers.
In addition to running Cooper Canines, I have served as a first responder and firefighter since 2015. That background instills a high standard of trust, safety, patience, and clear communication. Values that directly guide my approach to working with clients and their dogs.
